[9fans] Aki's drawterm-fb, THX/THNX img

Hello

9vx is great, but it requires X11. And X11 badly impact performance of
my netbook. It's strange. With recent linux kernel `mplayer -vo fbdev`
able to play HD video from VT. Not bad I think.

So I want to get rid of X11. Run 9vx headless and drawterm to it.
Luckily there is Aki's drawterm-fb. Ron mentioned it in THX/THNX
posts. But I can't find it. No sources no THX/THNX image that can
contain it.

Please share both drowterm-fb and THNX image.

x11 is not that big of an impact on a netbook. I suspect your real
problem is some horrible X desktop a la Gnome.

Get something like FLWM (very light weight) or Rio and run 9vx in that
environment. I've done that and it's very fast.

The drawterm-fb had issues and I don't recommend you spending a lot of
time to try to find it.

Nope.

I run wmii. There is a problem on that particular hardware (GMA 500).
Pain for a three years. And now finally with reinvented driver it's
amazing fast. But X plays badly.

I'm sure I can't fix X.
